Tempt My Tummy Tuesday - Garlic and Rosemary Roasted Chicken


Tempt my Tummy Tuesday

Sharing great fall recipe for chicken today.  Precious Husband loves red potatoes so that made this a keeper.  
Garlic and Rosemary Chicken


1 large whole roasting chicken
6 garlic cloves
several sprigs of rosemary
coarse salt (or regular)
several red potatoes (or regular)
several chunks of red onion

Place garlic under the skin of the chicken and place rosemary in and on chicken.  Sprinkle with salt.  Place in 13 inch baking dish along with several small red potatoes and chunks of red onion.  Roast at 450* for 10 minutes per pound of chicken.

Easy, very good and makes the kitchen smell wonderful while it is cooking.

Oh, I love chicken and garlic. I've never tried baking a chicken at home...but I see these roasted ones all crispy and golden at the grocery store and I'm tempted to buy one...and making a sort of homemade chicken soup? Have a great day, Dorothy...Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)
